Reflashed A4SE900D (531)

Reflashed A4SE900D (531)

Postby Xmicho » Thu Jan 05, 2006 3:16 am

Just an image of my first reflash. IAM is doing fine at 16. Knock correction seems ok. Boost has gone up to 1.04 bar from 0.95 bar. 40kmh - 120kmh time in 3rd gear has dropped by 1.5 seconds from stock. I am now desperately searching for locations and conversion factors for

1. Boost Limit
2 Turbo Dynamics (Continuous)
3 Turbo Dynamics (Burst)

If anyone can help find the locations for these, I'd be more than grateful.

Did you mean to upload your image here? If so, it's not here!

Yes I did mean to. And I'm pretty sure I filled in the attachment filename and comment. Didn't realise it didn't appear. Let me try again...

Oh, ok. .csv and .hex file extensions are not allowed. Any idea how I get around this so that I can post logs and rom images?

Dude, that was in January. Now I'm pulling over 1.4 bar up to 5500rpm. Wondering whether to take the next step and go 1.55bar. I'm just looking for confirmation that the td04hl-13t can flow over 400cfm before I do it.

Not sure about that, probably different set ups e.g. exhaust, intake etc.

Hi, mods on my car are very basic. Removed up-pipe cat and first of the two downpipe cats, remus muffler and that's all. I realise why somw people had been getting 1.23 bar with this map while mine was only hitting 1.04 bar previously. It was the boost control solenoid. Once I'd changed over to a Perrin EBCS, boost figures really jumped and spool up was much quicker. Good luck to ya.

What kind of setup you are using at the moment? I'm interested because you are using such a high boost and i would like to know what to tweak if i go past 1.2 bar. Thanks! Any chance of seeing peek of your map?

Sorry for the late post. Here's what I can tell you, I've kept peak boost at 1.4bar but only up to 5400rpm after which the stock turbine blades will start to go supersonic and disintegrate. You have to keep your total flow below max flow of the turbo. I had a PC crash a while ago so I've lost most of my sources but you can find a compressor map for the TD04HL online and a cfm calculator for boost vs capacity vs RPM. Use this to plan your boost so that it does not exceed the safe limits on the compressor map. If I remember corectly, the stock turbo can support 1.4bar on a 2.0L motor up to 5500rpm. The only mod I did after the ones listed here are a Perrin EBCS (stock solenoid was unreliable) and a Remus muffler. Wish I could tell you more. Good luck.
