not work =(.
the field has green background, but revs overtake limits. :(
the sensor at clutch pedal works.

HI

the xml for 98640014 has an incorrect address at 1590 for the stationary revlimit, set it back to 2719 and don't change it thinking it is the stationary limit. I haven't found the stationary rev limit for this ROM yet.

check you ecu to see if you have the cable for the clutch switch, this maybe the reason the limiter doesnt work, even if adjusted at the right address. I have a JDM 7, the car does not start without the clutch in but there is no wire on pin 43.

so we just need to conect the clutch switch into the pin 43?

I put a post up on activematrix, you can follow the steps tried in that thread, I don't think its as simple as just connecting it to the pin, maybe Im wrong. Im waiting for a scrap 8 here in Nz to be imported so i can grab the switch and try it. otherwise il have to get the switch and put an 8 ecu in.

Hi

I spent quite some time looking for the code for the stationary rev limit on the 98640014 ROM, also mrfred who has done much work on boost control, posted at evolutionm looked at the code and he also thinks this ROM does not have stationary rev limit.

just thinking about it, on the cars that the limiter works on, say it is limited to 5000rpm, at the lights u could rev to 5000 then pull the clutch just before launch and it would still hold at 5000, right?? im not to sure on this, as my launch control doesnt work.

now taking that back to the evo 7's the car starts with the clutch in, so there is definately a switch down the bottom end, however they are not equiped with a switch at the top for say partial clutch engagement. this must be the switch that plugs into pin 43 on the evo 8 and above ecu's. so even if the ecu has the feature it wouldnt work.

I could be totaly wrong about this im still a noob.

hi burgers, the JDM 7 and EDM 8 has different codings for launch control ;)
versus what you see for the JDM 9's and USDM >8's

There's like 6 parameters affecting the launch 1 speed and 1 temp and 4 rpm related values

Hi

As mentioned above, go to evolutionm and gat the 9055001 modded ROM from tephras thread. I have installed it on my VII and it works fine, launch control is there and it works. Make sure you back up your old ROM. From my point of view I would sugest VII owners and those witrh VII ECUs on early carr to move to tephras modded 90550001 ROM as most of the development work in the future will be done on that ROM ID.
