Ign Correction (Learnt Corr)
Ign Corr (Coarse corr)
Ign Corr (Neg Knock comp)
Thanks
To the best of my knowleadge and info gain during logging
Respectively:
1. Ign learnt as the ecu learns with the specify rpm and load range in the 1D Coarse Ign Learning maps. These values can be +-ve. There are small corrections to main ignition map, except when -ve. Knock correction is affect by these values. There are instances where the Neg. Knock comp is 0, and these show negatives values. This is normally outside the Knock rpm range. It is like staying, I am hearing sometime, I am not sure what it is, since it is outside my knock monitoring, but hey, let me correct the timing. This is way above 6500rpm.
2. This seems to be the Ignition Correction table values and as expected, affected by the IAM. The Knock Correction curves follows this curves, once no knock is detected. KC= Ign Coarse corr[~(IAM/16)] + Ign learnt corr + n[Neg Knock comp where n~1. This is not an exact equation, but it should demonstrate a point.
3. When Knock/pinging is detected and base on the ECU set threshold, this value removes timing or adjusted the correct to protect the engine. The ranges are defined in the ecu 1D maps
