Speed Limiter??

Postby fasterthanurwrx » Sun Oct 01, 2006 8:07 am

Hey guys..

I have a USDM 05 STi

I've set these values for the speed limiter

300, 300, 300, 300

and my car still stop at 150-155mph

Has anyone had any good results with turning the speed limiter off??

Thanks

In addition to fuel cut, there is boost cut as well, I recall it basically stops boost control at that set mph , and all you're left with is mech. wastegate boost pressure. You might want to play with that as well.

You shouldn't set the values equal. The "on" value needs to be at least slightly above the "off" value.

Not sure why it isn't working. Does it seem to cut the injectors, like a complete loss of power? Sure you really did flash your change to the car?

well from my experience, you can't go over 158mph (253km), we have tried. i could only move the speed cut from 180km to the 253 cause when we reach 253 we got the cut. so we had to buy a speedcut defenser and we have since gone to 168mph (268.8km/h).

There's an additional table for speed limiting that is necessary to modify in order to raise the speed limiter. It limits the throttle plate, whereas the other tables are a fuel cut. I'm adding this table to all DBW roms in the next definition release of Enginuity which will be released soon. It has been tested and found to be the final link to raise the speed limiter.
