thats where I looked. On the ROM itself it says its inherited from STI05base, so I tried deleting that but still nothing.

Do a search on your hard drive for the A8DH200X.xml and A8DH201X.xml. Delete these files. Put the attached files in your rommetadata/Subaru/wrx directory.

I replaced both of those files with the ones you posted, it didn't change anything. I still can't get the ROM's to re-inherit another deff....

When you replace these files you don't have to inherit anything. If you open up a 201x rom now, it should show the tables. Other than that, I don't know what you're doing unless you are replacing the files in the backup directories (which also have a rommetadata directory). Make sure you are replacing them in the ecuflash/rommetadata/subaru directory, not the ecuflash/backupxx, etc.
