Evo1 ECU decoding / map locations

Postby smurphy » Mon Oct 09, 2006 3:45 pm

Hello,
Can anyone help with the decoding of the mitsubishi EVO1 GSR EPROM ?. I have removed and socketed the EPROM from the ECU board and replaced with a socket for ease of removal. The data has been sucessfully read from the eprom (27c256) and i am viewing using hex workshop (eprom dump attached). However i am strugling to understand the code in terms of what is main code and ware are the data tables for fueling / ignition / boost solenoid duty / fuel pressure solenoid ECT. has anybody any info on the early import evos about how the ecu works and locations of data within the eprom as i am new to this and would like to try to change some parameters such as boost level and limits imposed by the factory software. There is little info on anything before the evo 4 many thanks to you all i am a newbie to this but do have an electronics / software background.
Simon. :?:

IMHO MH6111 - 6301 Custom edition. More detail on DSM forums.

Nice to see some other people with interests in this, but is useless unless we have someone that understands the processor and is able to disassemble the code.

At that point it's open house. I have been trying to get the DSM-ECU guys on "Yahoo Groups" to move to a forum based system, and share there knowledge openly, but there after several selfish people have taken there kind help, and tryed to resell it have locked up.

But there are a couple of people that are more than willing to help if you ask the right questions.

The "DSM-ECU" Yahoo group is a good resource for this.
