Engine load

Engine load

Postby Vandy » Thu Sep 14, 2006 2:34 pm

I am trying to find what offset my engine load is at. Can't find this anywhere unlike the IAM offset..

Or even can someone tell me what the acceptable values are? I am thinking 0 - 4?

0-4 is about right. A tuned or stage 2 car at max torque might hit in the 4.5 range. It should most closely follow the trend of manifold absolute pressure.

My car had two addresses that gave reasonable value ranges, but were quite different from each other. Really to be safe you should calculate the load yourself and make sure it agrees with what you are seeing.

From another thread:
If you have a 16bit ECU (pre-'06 WRX) the load values that you get from ecuExplorer would be

MAF*2*60/RPM
