STAGE 2 SERIOUSLY TUNED MAP FOR UK STI

Postby andy.uk » Tue Sep 05, 2006 2:37 am

ATTENTION: ALL WANNA-BE TUNERS.

HERE FOR DOWNLOAD IS DADDY OF ECU MAPS.

Please pay special attention to:

Fuel Maps, Ignition Maps, Ignition Correction Maps, VVT Map,
All the map scales are changed, The open loop RPM range and throttle position values are changed to stop it running lean when going into high load.

I don’t suggest that anybody just flashes this image straight to there ECU but you might want to try copying some of the values and row, col headers.
Please don’t run your engine without close LOGGING and maybe having a wideband on there to measure the AFR.
I don’t accept responsibility for any damage caused from using this map, You have been warned.

I have been tuning this map into my Impreza Sti for 4 weeks now to perfect it and i must say that my car now goes like F**K!!!!!!!!!

Please post feedback

Andy, some feedback:

In the VVT map I noticed that you had removed the peak around 3200, what effect has this had ? I expected this peak would have been there to improve spool.

What fuel are you using ?

Are you making the afrs in the lo det fuel table ? They seem a little lean at high load. Have you checked the egts with these afrs ? What are the actual afrs if different ?

Is there a reason you have higher boost targets from 5200 onwards than lower down the rpm range ?

With a very quick look, a few thoughts...

Changing ignition correction maps rather than base maps would give more safety. Check for offsets in timing in some zones given that you've also rescaled load, in places I saw another 8 degrees. That is a little heavy handed perhaps.

The midrange boost is very tame indeed, and the initial wastegate duty could do with some changes to reduce lag. At low RPM, higher duty cycles and targets may improve spool up.
