n00b needs help with his first reflash

Ive got an 02 WRX and I can get the rom of my car downloaded into ecuFlash just fine. I have downloaded the latest factory reflash that desensatizes the misfire detection a little which is my main goal (and yes I have gone through the majority of all the other troubleshooting for misfire cels. This is my next step before doing a compression test. )

I've got the updatex HEX but I just cannot find any walkthroughs or FAQ's on how to flash the thing to my car. I've tried searching here, NASIOC, and even google. I dont want to just start trying things and screw up my ECU. I've got the Tactrix cable with reflash connector and the latest version of ecuFlash.
