Ignition maps high octane then low octane
#1: 30C1, 325B
#2: 4437, 45D1
#3: 4905, 4A9F

A 7th ignition map at 55A9??

RPM zones: 657A (only 19 rather than 20 on the US Evo, and stops at 7000?)
Load zones: 600A

These need confirmation by someone brainier than I, this is just pattern recognition.

There is a query over this ROM as to whether it is truncated a little early at the end compared with the ROMs posted with JM8859.

I've also read it a second time and got an identical file.

I used ECUflash 1.26. I had to install a few DLLs as I am using Win 2000 on my slow laptop.

1.27 gives the same ROM image.

Boost cut in absolute pressure - estimated of course from the MAF sensor, so like engine load I think.

&H2D50 for boost limit table I think.

I've chopped off the low rev stuff on the 9s, but it seems to be 1.55 bar tapering to 1.35 bar. On the 8 it is 1.45 tapering to 1.25 bar. Also the 9GSR seems to allow a bit higher boost up top compared with the 9US if I am correct.

Wastegate max values are all 100% as other ROMS, four possible candidates at 38AC, 38D8, 38EE, 391A.

Boost targets - seem to be bar relative, top left are the three for 9GSR, top right is 9US, bottom is 8US, but the targets seem higher for the 8 than the 9, unrealistically so.

Addresses: 3946, 395C, 3972, 3988 with the RPM axis at 62B6.

DarkECU that is simply fantastic, you must have put lots of hours into these! Thanks!

Have the files you've posted been truncated though? I'm trying to work out how to use the file as it is, if I paste it and save it as XML I get "unexpected end of file". Are you able to attach the actual XML file you've made?

Thanks again. Opening up these maps in ECUedit is great. How on earth did you find all those? Disassembly? Any comments on how these maps work? Does it get quite a lot easier once you've done on JM885x that all the rest have a few offsets from there?

Ermm...how do I use what DarkECU posted to read the JDM Evo9 ROM?
