Best software for an elmscan327 device

Postby goodap » Wed May 03, 2006 2:35 pm

Hi Guys,

Looking for the best software to monitor the engine on my subaru, ideally would like a nice graphical package with various dials and performace analysis.

Also does anybody have a link to information which will tell me what all the sensors are ,and what to watch out for to diagnose possible engine failure, when on trackdays.

Thanks in Advance

Paul

Well, you probably already know how limited the elm stuff is compared to SSM with the Tactrix cable or Deltadash.

I don't think you can really do a good job monitoring much of anything with an elm based scanner.

I had an elm for a couple years, along with "Digimoto" which was a good piece of software, probably as good as it can get for elm stuff. I sold the elm unit and used the money to buy a Tactrix cable and never looked back.

SSM = Subaru Select Monitor

SSM is a protocol specific to Subaru.
