Thanks for that. Have you done any further disassembly on the constants for these ROM's? i.e. injector multiplier, boost cut etc?

Yes I have... I am the person who is helping Colby with the Mitsubishi stuff. So if you have any questions, I hope I can help out. Also I've added some offsets for EVO 9 ROM posted under Mitsubishi EVO 9 ROM page.

The board assemblies came back to me today. I should have the new connector assemblies back to me by the beginning of next week and ship out during that week. You can preorder on the http://tactrix.com site now...

Have you got a rough date for when the cables will be done? I should be finished breaking down the E7 and E7RA rom's in the next few days and I'm anxious to test my work.

On a seperate note, do you or anyone else have a rom image from an E7 EM9986 or RA57855711P1 ECU other than the ones listed on this site? I just want to compare like for like for determining the complete immobilizer code.

Many thanks

Do you forsee any more changes to the design of the OpenPort cables in the near future. I have the 1.0, but might as well pick up the new one just in case I come across any STIs. Also, if the 1.3 works with all Subarus, I might just pick that one up instead of the 1.2. What I don't want to happen is to pick this up and then find out in 6 months that something needed to be changed. I know it's hard to tell what the future might bring, but I'm just wondering.

I always try to get the most out of the cables I have without redesigning them. It costs lots of money and time, so I don't change the design unless I have to. The Mitsubishi cable has extra parts and connectors on it which make it cost more. It also works with DBW Subarus, since that doesn't require any additional hardware. It will not reflash WRXs, since that would require more parts, and I didn't want to make the Mitsu cable any more expensive than it is. Most people don't own a bunch of Subarus/Mitsus, so one cable does the job for them. If you want to flash every car under the sun, having two cables is still a pretty cheap way to go. I could make a universal cable down the road, but I probably won't until I include CAN into the cable as well.

The cable is capable of flashing the Evo 5 and 6, but I have not written a kernel for the H8/539F yet, so I don't have any software that supports reflashing these vehicles yet. When I do, this cable will work.
