4g64 shortblock EVO 7 tune

Postby bab090 » Fri Jan 02, 2009 7:44 am

Hi guys please help me with this setup tune, recently i have changed my JDM E7 with 4g64 block, Wiseco 9.0CR piston, and just started the engine, it runs ok on OEM 2.0 MAP and i m only running on 0.7bar, so can anyone has similar tuned map or to do advice me to map my current 2.0 OEM tune (JDM) but here i use 91 oct, i will upload my log and ROM in couple of days,

the problem is that i dont know how to log mitsulogger with my innovate LC1, please do advice, cheers

if i have 2 knock on only 1 certain RPM point is it too much?
what i am planning is, first to eliminate knock by retard the timing on that RPM and LOAD point, am i right? :P

Knock count of 2 is no problem. Check put the ECUflash forum at www.evolutionm.net for advice on tuning an Evo. My advice is to run the modified 90550001 ROM from tephra, available at the forum just mentioned, that way you'll get all the patches and enhancements. As a start, I would suggest dropping the timing by a degree or so accross the higher load parts of the map until you get use to tuning.

One last point, if you want to have the easiest tune, run the stock airbox, there are little or no gains to be had from running an induction kit and it will make tuning harder.
