WTB - ECU from Legacy S401

This ECU is one of the hardest to find because there was only 400 made

I'd love a copy of the ROM if I can't buy one.

I've got a customer with a Subaru Legacy S401 (special JDM model 2003) it is a twin turbo version and he's looking at getting one of the Tactrix cables but not sure which one is right for this car nor whether there are any ROM files available here to help him out.

If we fix this guy up with the right cable, I'm betting you can get a copy of his stock ROM files

So.... which cable does he need, the straight Subaru cable or the WRX variety?

You need this cable and also the connecters, as you need to use both of them to dump the ECU.

Do u managed to get the stock S401 rom files ? I'm driving a legacy GT JDM. I wanted to check whether it is really possible to make ECUFLASH to work with ECUFLASH. I tried downloading the rom from the ECU. Opened the rom using the ECUFLASH but I can't see the details of the ROM. I also tried tweaking the memory address for the rom files to work. The values is very very weird. For boost, i'm getting like 10 rpm - 30rpm...haha bad bad.

If you have the stock rom for S401 and definition files, can you share ?

If you have already managed to download the ECU rom file to your computer, it is most likely that Ecuflash will work with it.
All you need now is a correct set of definitions for it.

Post the original file and we'll help you with the settings .
