Hi!
I read rom dump from my JDM Evolution 6 TME, but can`t open that in EcuFlash. In need xml file with defenition of this rom, right?
where i can get her?

I was just wondering if you got this rom dump using ECUFlash or something else? The reason I ask is I have successfully read from several EVO5 and some EVO6 ECUs using ECU flash, but I haven't been able to read some late 6s or the 6.5. Given that it was only the later ECUs that I couldn't read, I started to wonder what was different about these. So I pulled a few ECUs out of these cases and made some sense of it.

All the 5s and early 6s have the MH7202 microprocessor. I can read these with ECU flash.

The later 6 ECU has a completely different PCB and uses a MH7203 microprocessor. I haven't been able to read any of these with ECUFlash.

Can anyone confirm if they have definitely read a MH7203 based ECU with ECUFlash?

This is from a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse V6 Federal emmissions. I don't have a cable yet, so I have not tried it personally, but the ecu can be read, but not flashed.

However the california emmission spec eclipse cannot be read. A picture of the ECU is in the below link.

Thanks for the reply. I know that both the MH7202F & MH7203FA are able to be read and reflashed with the right tools. But do you know for sure if anyone has read a MH7203FA based ECU with ECUFlash?

If the MH7202F is a Mitsubishi badged H8/539F, does anyone know what the MH7203FA is? I am assuming it is something in the H8/5xx family.

The MH7203FA A02 A 9M2 I in the first link has been read with ECU flash. Link below talks about being able to read the ecu.

The MH7203FA A02 A 9M3 in the 3rd link cannot be read for some reason.

Hmmm. The EVO6.5 ECUs that I cannot read have a MH7203FA A02 A 9M2 micro. So it seems funny that I can't read it. Especially because I can plug a EVO5 ECU straight into the same car with same openport cable and laptop. It reads just fine.

I am trying to read the 6.5 ECU while plugged into a EVO5 car, but as far as I am aware the wiring should be the same.

Yes, i read rom using EcuFlash and openport universal cable. In menu select evo5\6 flash method. Also requred connect 12pin connector.
It used H8539 memory model
The fuel maps 18A9h and 19bfh (size 18 x 15)
Ignition maps 1df1h and 1f61h (size 19 x 19)
Load table 1c8ae (19 x 1)
RPM table 1c882 (1 x 19)
