04 WRX AP to OPENECU upgrade

04 WRX AP to OPENECU upgrade

Postby twiztidunreal » Mon Jul 16, 2007 12:50 pm

i am currently running a V1 AP with PDX custom tune maps on an 04 2.5 wrx, 18g 7cm, modded injectors, etc.

I recently got a tactrix cable and was wondering, if i needed my AP any more or if i could pass it on to someone needing a stage 2 or so..

I know u can make a rom of your current ecu with the cable then edit and re-upload.. but my question is, will my pdx AP map work if i made a rom of it, un-married my AP, changed a few of my cel's from my pdx map, then reloaded the Rom to the ecu via tactrix with AP unmarried?? is this possiable?

You're best off just unmarrying and getting your own good tune from scratch. Find a local openecu tuner. Selling your AP will likely pay for the tune or more.

ap

I was able to read ap stage 1 93. After reading it i unmarried it from the ecu. The map it left behind was messed up. I was able to use ecuflash to install a good map. I then remarried the ap. Then i unmarried the ap. This time the map was good except they put a AT map on my MT wrx. No i have not used the ap map. The only thing i have used it for is to compare to the map i am working on. I am working with the free stage 1 map. It is nice to have some refrences between the stock map and the ap map.
