Newbie with an E6 from Portugal

Postby Amukinado » Wed Jan 02, 2008 3:48 am

Hi mates,

My name is Pedro, i'm from Portugal and i own a E6.

I'm planning to fit a E7 ECU in my car, i know i need the ECU and to change some wires in the connectors (related with the fans i think).
I also have the ECU Flash, Evo Scan and now i'm planning to buy the Tactrix cable and some Wideband meter...

But what more do i need?
I was planning to flash the E7 ECU with a Ralliart E7 Rom, can i do that? Will the car work free of troubles?

Thank you for your opinions and advices.

Regards,
Pedro

Thats what I have done with my car.

I have an Evo 6 RSII, and fitted a normal evo 7 ecu.

Used the EDM Ralliart Rom on my car and tweaked the map to suit my car.

It gives me good power, and works well, no faults.

But the fuel economy isn't great, but thats because I can't keep my foot off the big pedal ;)

The only other things you need, are an uprated fuel pump, and boost control, if your looking to get more power from the car.

Since i'm having some difficulties to find an European Evo VII or VIII ECU, can i fit an US Spec Evo VIII ECU?

Thanks,
Pedro
