evo IV to VI ecu

evo IV to VI ecu

if one has an evo 4 but fitted with an evo 6 ecu can still still be read and flashed in the normal way?

im used to flash tuning EVO 8's but i used my normal tactrix cable and plugged in but it wouldnt read from the ECU.

no only way afaik to flash 5/6 ecu is with ecutek also need to run a wire to pin 79 for the white plug to do this,for evoscan you need to join pins 1 and 4 on obd socket. ive fitted an evo8 ecu to mine to get around this

so your saying I cannot flash an EVO 4 fitted with an EVO 6 ECU?

if you can. what the step by step process.

im still learning.... I have this extra white plug in addition to my cable and I can clearly see under the dash the two blade male adaptio which my female plug fits no problem.

but your saying I need to run another wire ??

So basically if you own an EVO 4,then Fit an EVO 8 ecu to get around any probs and dont waste time with and EVO 6 or even & ECU? is that what your saying??
