03 Sti AVCS MAP

Postby rob82 » Tue Oct 30, 2007 1:35 am

Just wondering if anybody has senn a missmatch between the desired cam postion and the actual cam postion. Had a car with a small midrange hole that showed a 15deg change in cam timing at this point however the commanded number is no where near this dramatic.

You need to replace a sensor on your gearbox.

"Neutral position sensor"

Try with one of your friend and you will see ;)

Gearbox - how does that related to a cam control issue? Is there a neutral position map? To me that makes no sense - can you please explain.

he doesn't need to change the sensor

the "hole" in the avcs is your cruising range which is meant for cruising (better milage and emissions)

if his NPS was faulty the cams would have been 0 all the time
