Boost problems on 06 STI

Postby HighPSI TSi Guy » Tue Oct 09, 2007 2:04 pm

I tuend a 06 STI the other day, it was actually a re-tune of a previous tune. Problem is, I had it running 17-18 lbs no problem before, and now it is down 30ish hp and will not make the boost it was. no matter what I do to the boost tables it runs stock boost. Everythign else in the tune responds properly, and the car runs exactly the same now as it did before, just less boost. Any ideas?

I don't see how that would affect boost

Loose boost control line, bad boost control solenoid, etc.

Do you happen to get about 7-8psi max? That is the default wastegate spring pressure on that turbo.

A log file with manifold pressure, wastegate duty, throttle, and RPM would be helpful.
