Almost certainly not. The entire wiring harness is probably different. It may have different sensors, different injectors, different ignition firing mechanism, etc.

I think that wiring sensors and all rest can be also changed, thrully there arent to much diffrences between those cars we can disabled IMO but maybe there is other possibility to reload this kode

Any info on this about....? I have seen those threads before. If anyone can give me wiring diagrams, I will do Evo7 PowerFC install into Evo4 setup in a Mirage Cyborg and let you know here how it goes. Seems no one comes back once their problem is fixed ;)

DSMLINK conversion

Postby red^shark » Wed May 09, 2007 10:27 am

Have you considered a DSMLink conversion?

Or at least we could attempt to use the DSMlink harness to convert to the EVO 8 ecu:

Could you not flash the evo 8 rom into an evo 7 ecu (the connectors are the same then).

And then change a couple of wires around on your loom, to get it working correctly ?

I would have posted them up but it says he doesn't want copied or whatever. Personal use, then go for it.

Do the wiring conversion and flash it with an EVO 7 Ralliart ROM and it will work.

So, if you make the Evo 7 wiring changes, then flash an Evo 7 ROM onto the Evo 8 ECU that'll do it?

check my website www.limitless.co.nz/evoscan I have the instructions in an XLS file down the bottom of the website. The immobolizer is easy, just use the ralliart rom on my website to disable it.

Hey,
got a 4 as well. I still don't get what I need to get the 7 ECU running in the 4.
I just got the car and am still in the learning curve.
