Hey all,

I'm completely new to this forum, and unfortunately I don't own one of the vehicles popularly tinkered with (WRX/EVO). My EFI tuning experience comes almost entirely from tuning the AEM EMS in 3000GT/Stealth twin turbo cars, which have a closed/encrypted ECU as far as I know (never played with the factory-reflashable OBDII ones, but assume they are similar).

Has anyone written a FAQ/primer on learning the techniques for tuning/flashing factory ECUs (WRX/EVO/whatever)?

I assume all of the software you guys are using is designed for logging with DIY USB cables and a laptop. I want to know more about this even if I can only download other peoples' factory/tuned ROMs and logs to get a feel for what is possible.

Thanks! Some useful info here-and-there, but I may have learned more from just opening ROMs in ECUFlash.
