Flashing tools do not recognize flash method 'evo'

Postby russ » Wed May 23, 2007 1:10 am

Any bright ideas please?
Get the message above when I try to flash a car I have done several times before with no issues.
Have even read file again, but it won't even test write back on.
No idea what has changed since I was able to flash the car a few weeks ago.
Don't think it matters, but ecu is 93660005

Hello Russ :)

Change the flashmethod "evo" to "mitsukernel" in the xml file for that ECU.

When I did the Evo 8 and 8MR xmls they were for an earlier version of ECUflash which used flashmethod of "evo" but this appears to have changed to "mitsukernel"

Cheers,

John

open the xml file with notepad, when saving change the file type from .txt to all files and save over the original version.
