evo 9 FQ300 & Ecuflash

Postby japerformance » Sun Mar 25, 2007 11:09 am

Hello Peeps how is everyone doing?

I have purchased and received my cable for evo's and subarus, i have installed ecuflash 1.3 and enginuity

question now, before actually hooking up to an evo 9 from previous methods i leave ignition off hook up the cable to the obd II port open up the software on the laptop and then switch the ignition on and click connect to ecu

Is there any known issues with the evo 9 it is a uk spec FQ300. I have heard rumours that it could possibly fry the ecu if this is true i dont think i would be willing to try this but has anyone on here had success and if so would my method be correct.

I couldnt find any step by step methods on here to hook up and flash but am eager to try. We are waiting delivery on our own evo 9 that will be built to a high spec but we will be using a standalone management to control the car we have but am looking for alternatives with ecu for retunign evo's with minor mods.

Look forward to some replies.

;)

You need to use ECU unlocker on the IX UK FQ models as they have already been remapped. See www.aktivematrix.com

You can't fry your ECU by reading it.
