Leaving the Openport cable plugged in - does it draw power?

With engine off, will my Evo battery flatten if I leave it plugged in?

I'm doing so much testing I don't want to damage the plug and socket from repeated use.

I leave mine attached on my Subaru. I don't think there should be any problem.

It does draw a small amount of current. I wouldn't leave it installed in a car that doesn't get driven regularly. Alternatively, you could rewire the OBD plug to only provide +12 when the car is in an ON key position...
