ecuflash error

Postby autoxwrx » Wed Mar 07, 2007 3:30 pm

it gives me denso2_bootloader_cmd_start 4 times in a row and than gives kernel get version.

Was able to flash just fine about 2 weeks ago, when we loaded the ots stg2 map from osecuroms.org.

Had a sti intercooler and intake runner manifold added since than, also changed the engine bay harness to get ride of tgv issues

Also I am able to connect to the ecu using ecuexplorer.
it gives

Check your cable's connection and the green/white test mode connectors.
If everything looks ok, then it is just you!
You really have to press the OK button quickly after switching the ignition on.

wow gee thanks for the sarcastic help there.

fyi
green connectors are good as the car cycles the fans. connected and reconnected white connector more than once. also used completely different tactrix cable.

Well that was some real advice, advice I would wish I knew when I started.

Try checking your tactrix cable drivers and compare them to the ecuflash version you are running. There are some very annoying issues with the drivers... You need to get the correct driver for the version that you are using, specially in case you are using two different versions of ecuflash.

I have found myself in the same situation more than once. :?

I could see that being good advice if I didn't state in my post

"Was able to flash just fine about 2 weeks ago, when we loaded the ots stg2 map from osecuroms.org"

Not to mention I have flashed 4 other cars just fine.

I tried reinstalling the software and even tried finding version 1.28 of ecuflash to try but that just crashed.

I too had the crashing problem, remove all the xml files out first, and then install v1.28
