Hello,

I have tried reading my ECU memory but with no luck...

i have/use:

Openport 1.3 (subaru)
EcuFlash 1.29
Green connectors connected (both) car goes into diagnoses. Cel flashing, Fans cyling.

i have tried many times, different timing with the 'ON' switch, and it just doesnt want to read the rom...

Car is: 2005 wrx from Aruba, Caribbean

Do you guys think i need the white flash connectors? i have tried it once with it (was afriad to try again) and it didnt connect, the car stays in diagonses with the white flash connected.

I also have tried downloading ecuflash 1.28 but it doesnt work after install does anyone have a working copy?

i will post the logs below...

Yes, you need the white connector...
On 06- you only need to connect the green ones.

OK,

a friend of mine who probally has the same ECU as mine was able to read his rom without the white flash connectors!

how can that be?

can someone give me tips on how to connect?

or if i should connect the white connectors should the car stop from going into diagnoses mode?

thanks

I know that with some JDM cars you need to push the clutch pedal in as well to initiate boot loading mode. Can you try holding the clutch pedal in while EcuFlash tries to connect?

Yes,

My car is now XPT Stage2....

What i think happend to me was my car had a very weak battery and it wasnt allowing me to read, good thing it didnt, i would be bad if i was reading my rom and the battery died...

Like i said before if a user need help reading his rom i can advice him how to do so... iam like a pro now have read like 5 others roms of different wrx's

Iam glad i didnt give up... it took me about a year to try again with a new battery and new laptop...

Cheers,
