At that time when this happended I was panic and forgot to save the flash log. However, I think I remember that Ecuflash reported a "Checksum Error" and the program is terminated. Can that be the case??
After the incident, It just came to my mind on how to prevent such dreded thing from happening again.
Here are some tips that I summed up from my research on this website:
1. DBW ECU has a Checksum function that can cause a problem if we don't save it before flashing. So, save it everytime before flashing.
2. If you don't know it for real, Do not flash any ROMs from differnt models or even diffent model years into your ECU.
2. Car battery must be in full power. If we leave the ignition key at ON position for too long, chances are that the battery will be drained out to a point that flashing process can not be completed.
3. Laptop battery must be at least 1/3 of full power.
4. Turn off every battery-consumed devices in the car ie. Air Cond, Radio, Air Con Fan, Head light, Interior light, Turbo Timer
5. Turn off every irrelevant application ie. Antivirus, Screensavers, Wi Fi, Hot Sync
6. Always "Test Write" before "Real Write"
7. Make sure that all connections such as green plug, flash block connector and OBDII cable are snug and don't touch them during the flashing process
8. In case anything goes wrong during the flash, DO NOT turn the ignition to OFF. We still have a chance left as long as we don't turn the ignition key to OFF
9. With the Ignition key stays at ON position, try the flashing again and again and hope that it went through without any problem.
10. If the flash is still not success, at least save the Ecuflash log for further investigation.
Do I miss anything??
Your input is highly appreciated.
