Hello?.. is this thing on? 8)

So what is that we need to do to modify the code (xml table?) and/or hardware to make this work?

Cboles posted the 1.3m schematics (as requested) a while ago and we havent seen anything more from YP.

Is this just a case of a change in jumper wire to initiate the boot strap load?
Or do we/me need to run IDA to figure out where to go?

EvoScan works fine on my 98 Talon TSi AWD and the 98 has both ports,
the OBDII and the flash initiator port (both plugs connect on the OpenPort 1.3m cable).

The EVO 5/6 and 2g dsm's are currently not supported by the EcuFlash software,
but are listed as under development. Tho I think that as far as the 2g dsm's go, only the 98 & 99 will work.

Thanks

are you certain about the 98 and 99 thing? I'm serious about getting another DSM, I loved my talon, but 98s and 99s appear to be ludicrously overpriced.

I am certain the Evoscan works with my 98 Talon with no cabling mods.

Based on datasheets that I have read, I think the 98 & 99 DSM's will accept a flash based on the h8/500 kernal.

I also know that both connectors on the openport 1.3m cable plug into my 98 talon just fine (it appears to have the proper connectors) and I got an h8/500 error when i tried to use Ecuflash.

We wont know for certain about EcuFlash until sometime in September when cboles gets the h8/500 kernal flash code completed.

And yes it is driving me crazy like a kid waiting for xmas. 8)
Not knowing if i will get what i want or not

Waiting patiently until September but still concerned about hardware.
Evo 6 RS2 has no initialization plug near the OBDII socket.
Do I need any other hardware changes to support Colby's new software?

Yup but Colby did say he was swamped with work. September has just begun.
Let's hope the revision can also address the lack of the initialization plug in the Evo 5-6.

May i suggest you read some of the h8/500 pdf's in the download section?

And then pull your ecu and check to see what model processor is in your ecu.
