Quick question -

Will this software be compatible with the base Mitsu Lancers? I drive a 2003 Lancer OZ Turbo and I know I have the same ECU as the EVO 8. I've got a tactrix cable and am looking for some datalogging software.

I think it should since it is the same protocol, but I am not sure

I can get the AYC ABS init commands from the MUTII later this week.
They will contain G-Sensor information, which will be very cool.

There has been some questions on sampling speeds, the ECU should be capable of 200 samples per second, the software will not be a limiting factor since I am taking care to be very efficient, it will be the ECU or OpenPort cable that will be the limiting factors, I will add a sample rate/second to the program. There could be an option of setting the OBDII speed register to up this to 115,000bps giving 1,500 samples per second, yet to see. There could also be the option of reading all the values out in one hit like the SSM protocol can, yet to see.

I'm very interested in getting this funtionality on Unix systems, but I'm unsure about how much of the actual code can carry over -- probably. Could you post just the protocol code so I can see how handshaking and init are done.

I hope the D2XX driver, the VCP driver would mean you'd have to switch drivers (and we know its a PITA to do that) to switch between the ECUFlash program and this one.

I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this program to test out, Its very encouraging to see some high sample rates of useful data out of the ECU directly.

Yes, it uses the D2XX driver for sure, I aint that crazy to use the VCP drivers
