If it was cheaper to get a new car, I would have.

Well, so is life.

Sorry. I haven't been working on that for a little while. I've been trying to finish up the new EcuFlash, and get the Mitsubishi cable done.

I can understand for new products, but there have been a fair amount of 99/00 GC8 wrx and sti out there.

Would you be able to finish?

Is it half done?

What exact model are you trying to reflash? I have been working on the newer Impreza RS/TS models. Are you trying to relfash 99/00 wrx/stis?

For the 99/00 ecu's, would the reflash technique of the ecu be any different to later models?

You need to connect a 12V power source to the car to flash.

That much is known....

our cars have the same type of jumpered reflash connector that connects the 12v supply from the flashing took to the ECU

I would bother that 12v when the tool come.

Right now, it is trying to find your way in the darkness.

I am research a Hydra for my model. The only problem is the automatic transmission controls.

If I could also program the TCu for the transmission, that would be good to.

heh, ..and I really would like to thinker with my ABS :D
(off topic, pm me, AT specific: Do you have trouble with autoshifting to 3rd. gear?)

But first of all Im waiting to get my hands on some JECS dumps :D

I wonder if theres something we can do to help?
..or rather what can we organize in a helpful way?

Would like to see more pictures of the ECUs inside.
What is printed on the cpu chip?
Seems like we all got different cars, the only common thing is the JECS 99--00 ECU.
If we can identify useful things..

Soh, is there a smart seekable/clean/editable place to dump this info?

..caling for action from all JECS users :!:
Please comment :!:

I must be positive, but after seeing so many dumps and work on the newer models, I am giving up hope. It is not colby fault, but since then, even newer ecu have been dump.

I have not problems w/ the TCU, but I want an aggressive shift. My car is a sports model and the tcu should behave the same.

The tcu is protecting the tranny and engine. If it was a manual, the engine is up to the user.

I personeal want to fix the 14.7 a/f ratio that is causing pinging issues. Then later, adjust my avcs.

Honestly, I just haven't spend much time with it yet. I have already figured out a lot of other ECUs that I haven' t released in the tools yet, so I'm focusing on finishing those tools, along with the map editing before attacking more ECUs. Hacking ECUs is more fun, but if no tools are available afterwards, what's the point?
