I have been looking into putting an evo 8 ecu in my 2g dsm
It looks like it will plug right in.

Does anyone have any insight they can offer?

I am still waiting on the ecuflash h8/500 kernal so that i dont need to put in an evo 8 ecu.

Both Colby and YP have tried to get it to work reliably but can't. If anyone knows how to write kernal code and has one of these devices, send a message to YP or Colby, you might be able to help out.

Already sent but the answer was that the software was in beta and can't do more

Colby has a basic kernel running, but occasionally basic sections of kernel code appear to become corrupted (in terms of what happens when they execute) and he hasn't been able to locate the cause - it may be some interrupt or something.

Covered before I know but it would be great if the Kernel got sorted for the v & vi, so many of us guys in Europe & beyond would benefit hugely :wink:

I spent some time with the H8 kernel today... it turns out that my assembler has some bugs and is generating incorrect opcodes for some instructions, which was causing the code to get wonky in strange places. I hope to get something out to people next week to try out the reading, and then do another release once the reflashing has been tested fully.
