Well I tried again to interrogate the ECU using ecuflash but no luck. I get a failed check log pop up.

I've attached the error log.

I used the green test plug and the other plug but still no luck, I had the car running, ingnition on / off.

Any idea's

EDIT OK this file is useless as with a little more reading I got it reading my ECU

Please look at my full dump of the ROM further down this page.

Cheers

OK, the above information thread helped and I got it working! phew...

For all us ozzies out there who don't have WRX but a Liberty B4 Twin Turbo you need to do the following.

[1] Find the cables and connect the two green plugs together, then plug in the white block connector as well.
[2] open up ecuflash and hit read rom.
[3] from the menu choose the year model for your car in my case 2003 which worked under 2001-2003 Subaru Impreza WRX
[4] Once ready you need to have your brant immoboliser off in order for it to set the ingnition to "ON" (this was what was causing my errors) But in other software like ecuexplorer I didn't have this problem, then actual name of the car would come up.
[5] This should then start the read process, once finished you need to save it some how to a xml, which is were I stopped.
[6] Turn off, remove test (green plug) and white loop block.

Hope this helps others. now to repost my ROM for definition request :D

Can someone please help with this file and confirm.

I just placed basic information and I am yet to get the case ID of the ECU and all the rest of the details. When I was trying to save this I had to pick wrxbase and then it added created what I think is my rom.

Anyways I'd like someone to convert this to to use the correct xml based on my rom.

Hi mate,

It's located near the clutch or foot rest once but u have to remove the under the steering console, once you find the green connectors the white one is there, (there is no plug in the white conector and the green ones are disconnected.

Fantasy. But on mine car such socket is not present! Near to green connector, where or around. I shall make a photo in the evening and I shall lay out here. Similar, artful Japanese use any other way.

Hi bb8,

You may not need this cable, since it was for 2003-2005 models and since yours is 2000 RSK B4 it may only need require the green connectors.

Join the two connectors together and try to read your ECU.

Good Luck

Hi ! I tried to read out ecu 8 times at the closed green sockets - it is impossible, the program gives a mistake ssm2 x081 . I have opened ecu and have looked near to it - no other sockets are present.

OK, seems this site was unreachable for a few days, back now.....

So the champion team @ enginuity helped me out heaps. This ROM is the base ROM and has been extracted fine.

Thanks to all that helped!

PEACE

Hey All,

There are a number of 1D, 2D & 3D parameters that come up as either a ? or unknown.

Is there anyway to try and find out what there names or labels are?

Anyone?

Thanks
