I purchace the cable from Mynes, I downloaed 1.28 for my Evo VIII (couldn't find 1.27 it will work right?).

How do I get the 1.28 software to run, do I have to purchace something to run it?

Will the 1.28 work for the evo 8 (not a 9)?

1.28 will work with the 8 fine. It actually has some more definitions, so that is good. Just install the softwear and you should be good to go.
