Postby hrb93 » Mon May 08, 2006 10:14 pm

Does ECUFLASH support AUS/JDM spec ECU's?

Option Doesn't appear in the drop down menu.

[0.000] kernel flash disable
[3.004] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[2.914] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[2.915] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[2.914] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[2.904] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[2.113] unable to load kernel

Thanks

yes it does. i live in south africa and we share the models with aus. jdm is a different market and therefore the models are different.

if you're using the ecuFlash tools within ecuExplorer then you must chose a model from the Options -> ecuFlash menu. Select the 'Subaru STI International 2001-2005 (Non USDM)' or 'Subaru WRX International 2001-2005 (Non USDM)'. both of them use the same flashing methods so it doesnt actually matter which 1 you chose.

^^^ The cable needs drivers to work if that's what you're asking.

yes,

where can i find the drivers?

You would think the cable would come with them or a download link.

Thanks

My laptop has XP sp1a installed and already had a driver for the cable.

I have another with Windows 2000 and this doesn't work, although I haven't tried looking for a driver. I think somewhere on this site or the tari site it said you need a usb/serial converter driver.

Did you ever bother to look at the Tactrix site you bought it from? The drivers are posted on there. Geesus people. Where's the common sense?

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

Link to the FTDI drivers page... directly to the maker of the chipset.
