Please help me to read ECU!

Hi to all,

I have a problem to read ROM with ECUFlash to MY2001 WRX 2.0 TurboEU:

- connected the green jack
- launched ECUFlash on laptop
- connected USB<>Serial cable
...

and this is the report:

I had using the new ECUFlash 1.30

Controlling with ECUExplorer the relative information about the ECU are:

- MY01/02 Impreza 2.0 WRX (EURO) [AF530-7554]

the sequence i use is

have the software and cable ready

plug the green plugs together

plug the jumper plug in

plug the tatrix cable in

turn ignition on and click ok within 1 second

reads every time

i have tryed.. and nothing!

Can be it the cable than is ok for ecuexplorer but isn't for ecuflash?

Which version cable you use for read ecu ? And which are software version?

d_flysuby In your steps you dont mention shorting the white connector block - have you done this?
On the 2001 Euro WRX You need to connect the green connectors AND short the white connector block.

Hi,

yes i'm done that..

- connected green jack
- connected white jack
- launched the Ecuflash program and ready to "OK"
- connected the USB cable on the car and on the laptop
- and in the window program read "USB<-->Serial cable"
- turn the ignition car in "ON" and quickly press "OK"
- the car is in test mode because i hear the fan go and stop
- and the Ecuflash running, but return "error see the log" and the result is that i had post...

I think that the problem is the cable than is functionally with the Ecuexplorer but not functionally with the Ecuflash.. i buyed the cable in ebay Italy and this isn't a Tactrix.. or if is similar.
