I tried connecting to a 2006 JDM Impreza non-turbo without no luck.

It there way to see why?

Could the 2006 be full CAN now?

Doubt it. In the US, only the Impreza models are non-CAN for the current model year.

I forgot to add that is was a logging program.

EcuEdit, EcuTek, Enginuity would not work.

Ok.
