Sorry, I don't have a clue. I'm wondering the same thing myself.
I have my cable and software for over two months... but getting nowhere.
I hope that colby can finish the Evo 6 version soon.

"IF" I understand correctly... the ecu hardware in some of the 5/6's is the same as a 98/99 dsm.. both h8/500 based ecu's anyways...

If a particular 5/6 doesnt have the proper connectors... you might be able to scavenge the required hardware from a junkyard that has a 98/99 dsm.

I've gems but it's pice of s..t. eg if you would like to run junectors at 90% duty you will never have engought resoultion in the map for stable idle and 1 time per 10 you'll stall the engine stoping at red light.

so I going to buy working ecu from evo 7 and then i'll be happy :-)

Yes it can I used a ralliart ecu evo 7 ecu and was able to run 30psi of boost.
