Looking at your map, it differs from other 05 stock maps

What is the built date on your evo 8? Just comparing different 05 stock maps. Your stock map felt more responsive on my ecu. It seems like there is different variations of the 05 stock map.

I also have an '05, and in your "stock" ROM the "boost limit" is set to "319" throughout the entire rev range. Whereas in my stock ROM it's set to "245" and tapers to "225" as revs rise.

The fuel and ignition maps do match my stock ROM exactly though.

Sorry I took so long to respond, I may have made a mistake with the MAP I uploaded, I did change the boost limit to 319 (27PSI I believe) otherwise the map is stock. Sorry again for the mix-up.
Car is dated November 2004.
Thanks

Golruss: I am new to reading and logging ROM data. I downloaded and installed Ecuflash 1.28 and also downloaded your stock 05 ROM. Placed in the rom directory but Ecuflash doesnt seem to find it. I confirmed it is a hex file and it is there under Explorer . Nothing in Ecuflash.

It is a stupid question but how do I get it to load into EcuFlash? i want to compare it to my 05 MR ( Mar 05 builddate ) ROM. Then once Ive learned enough, log some runs and make minor changes, comparing to yours.

Any help much appreciated

Hi just place the file somewhere convenient (like on your desktop) it should be a Hex file, then open ECUFLASH, go to file OPEN ROM a window should pop-up and you will see LOOK IN (thats asking for the location you where you saved the file eg. desktop) find the file and click open.
I think thats all.
