My friend bought a 97 JDM pajero evolution.

I took the data from ecu but could not open it.

Is it possible to open if i get the definition files?

Try using the 98-99 3000GT VR4 definition file to see if some maps and tables appear. Also, look into EvoScan for cable and logger software to extract fuel and ignition maps.
