Also secondly, for those that may know, many of these Mitsubishi vehcles are not running a knock sensor from factory. If we were to wire it in and somehow find the pin on the ECU, would the software automatically be able to utilise it or would we have to write a specific file to enable it?

You can use 2005 model definition just change the xml header and save as 94950001.xml
