evoscan 2.1 logging slow. help me log faster...

well im not sure where to post this on this forum so i figured he is a start... sorry if it is the wrong spot to post it...

now to my story. i have evoscan 2.1 i ''had'' a dell 4100 laptop Pentium 3, 30gig HD, 512 gig ram... my logs were slow and i really wanted to get more samples then what i was getting when logging. so i was talking to a friend and he said a good start would be a more up to date computer. so i went out and got a dell 8200 Pentium4 with 160gig HD and 1gig ram..... i started to try some logging and it is faster then it was but it is still very slow. i have about 89% left free space on this laptop. i have nothing on it but evoscan and ecuflash. and the internet of course. but thats it. its a tuning/logging laptop only. when i log the car i make sure nothing is running other then evoscan. now im at a loss. i can bump the computer up from a 1 gig to a 2 gig. other then that i have no idea what else to upgrade to to get better logging speeds.... my question is what can i do??

i saw there is a 2.0 tatrix cable now available. will that help log faster then the 1.3 cable i have now? some help would be great.... and thanks
