Airtrek Knocking after dyno tune

guys,

can anyone have a look at my datalog and let me know what the issue is? i took my car for a dynotune. very happy with the results of ecuflash because i got 25 whp as an outcome. my airtrek is now producing about 210 hp on wheel from a previous 184.

after the dyno, i got abit itchy and decide to just do a datalog using the evoscan software. i found that my knock sum is about 25 at about 6500 rpm.

previously before dyno, the highest knock sum i would record would be around 10. i have been trying to search online for an indication of what would be considered a safe knock sum, but still cannot find anything definitve. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

on the evos the general safe limit is 3. the ecu starts to decrease timing after 3 and octane rating goes down at 6. It looks very bad IMHO

try asking on evolutionm. lots more people look there regularly.

You will definitely going to get different readouts from on-wheel dyno and on-road dyno. Firstly the environment settings during dynoed were controlled e.g. air temp, engine movement etc...Most guys I know just top up their car with high octane stuff to make the chart nicer ..... Anyway its very subjective and also depends on the shop tuner.

The knocksum is pretty high. Will look at yr files.

First glanced, your high octane fuel is lean especially 180-220 load from 3000-7000. At this range you are going 100% TPS and EGR is peak hot. Engine probably generate too much heat after many runs

Did you tune yourself or by the shop tuner?

I read your car engine was busted once before. Please try not to push yr car too hard. Anyway, please feedback this to the shop tuner.

FQ,

yes, i did blow the engine before, and this time the car was done by a pro tuner... i did not touch anything........

i wish i had the graph in electronic format so that i could include it......

and i did not top up any octone or all that jazz..i'm not into artificial results or power....... i'm perfectly happy as long as the car is running fine at its current output( for now)

oh......by the way.....u got it wrong, the datalogg was done after the dyno..i just decided to log the car at night after the dyno run!

i did not get a datalog whilst at the dyno, most tuners here would not give it to u anyway!

and one more thing! i forgot to change the measuring units to metric, so its in imperial( MIles and farenheit) so u would have to convert the figures in excel back to metric first...SORRY!
