Posted: Tue May 30, 2006 12:36 pmhello, I'm a noob to this but i was wondering if i was doing something wrong. I downloaded this map and was wondering if i can open it with the ecu flash 1.27. When i try to open it, the only thing that is editable is the immob code. When I use a hex editor it will open but i'm not to skilled in hex so I wanted to use the flash program..Please help....

I to am a newbie & have just had my first sucsess looking through a hex map in a hex editor & then transfer ing the info to ecuflash.
Ecuflash needs to know the location of the start of the map offset & some info in the axis scales. like load & rpm of the fuel maps. Have a look at the EVO7 EM9968 thread below, there is some info as to the locations of some areas that have been found.
When you check a box in the left plane, say hi octain fuel map, you get a box that has an edit at the top left, click on the edit & you will get a bigger box. Try some of the values that have been found in the thread I metioned. i would also recomend you download the hex file from the Evo8 thread, as ecuflash already has all the locations for this hex file, you will then see what it should look like when you get it right.
Let us know what car you have & any results you get.

The knock sensor table 1 should be 4657 someone has had the wrong definition on that for awhile now.
