ECUFlash Rom table Help??

okay, i have latest ECU flash 1.27 with the updated Definitions. i pull out my ecu rom for the first and notice all the RPM ranges and others numbes are out of order from left ot right or top to bottom. weird. for example look that the boost color box. knowest the rpm is out of wack ? help please, my evo is 2004 model.

It looks like the address info in the XML for the axes are wrong. Hold on for a day or so and I will make a new release that fixes it.

I haven't made a new release yet - but if you replace this file in your ecuflash\rommetadata\evo directory, it will fix the problem for now.

I'm still having problems viewing maps and options. I have all my .XML files loaded in my openecu/ecuflash/rommetadata/mitsu/evo folder. And my options are pointing to that directory for rommetadata files. Yet I still can't view all the options, most of the newer ones under MISC are greyed out.

try this, uninstall the software completely, even delete the OpenEcu folder. reinstall the software and copy the XML and try it again.

what is the internalID of the ROM you are talking about? you probably just have a ROM no-one has made a definition for yet. posting the stock rom in these forums will help us eventually get a definition made.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the software about a dozen times. I've also deleted the openECU folder several times and even renamed the folder I was reinstalling it into.

Depending on which XML file I used I either have partial access options with correct RPM scaling or access to more options but the RPM scaling is messed up.

Its a minor hassle which I'm sure you will fix shortly with the next software revision. I can email you my stock ROM again if that will help.

I get lots of ROMs mailed to me, and it is hard to keep track of screen names versus email addresses. I probably have it, but I still don't know what ROM you are referring to. What is the InternalID of the ROM in question? If it doesn't already have a XML definition with the 1.27 install, you can expect that none of the addresses are necessarily correct.

1. install 1.27 software
2. replace 96420011.xml in your installation with the 96420011.xml attached a few posts above in this thread
3. start EcuFlash
4. load your 96420011 ROM

does that work?

I just uninstalled, deleted from my recycling bin, and reinstalled everything using the ROM you posted above. It appears everything is working perfectly now. I have access to all but 2 options and my scaling is fixed. Thanks again for the support. Can't wait until the next version comes out.

for everyone:

keep in mind that every time you install ecuflash, your current rommetadata gets copied to a backup directory and replaced by the rommetadata in the install.

this allows me to deliver new updated definitions to you without deleting anything you might have done on your own. you will have to manually merge your work to combine definitions in the same XML file though.

another alternative (which i use) is to keep my rommetadata in a different directory (which can be setup from the options). this way new installations don't effect my definitions, but i can switch at will by changing the dir in the options and restarting the program.
