Do you have a ROM that you already know has LC?

If the LC tables are not there when you open the ROM in ECUflash (or enguinity for that matter), it means the maps controlling LC have not been added to the definitions (XML files in /rommetadata folder).

If you want to ask someone to try to find them for you, you'll have to post the Spec C ROM image (at least one with the same CALID) so those with the skills and tools to do so may download it and try to figure it out.

No gaurantees someone is going to have the spare time to donate to do it for you, but that's really the only possible way.

Once Enguinity.org is back up I'd suggest posting the ROM in the ROM Definition Requests section.

What do the tables look like for launch control ? My AF481 rom from my STI7 has all kinds of extra tables for Group N and AF481 specifically but I don't know what they are for. They appear when I use an xmlwrite generated set of definitions. A4SD900B is the rom.

Thanks

Here is the ROM that I know has launch control. It is not for my car, but as far as I know, it is for an EDM 04 STi. I could not come up w. where the L.C. was stored, but I am able to open it w. std. definition file for A4RN___ models.

Edit: For suspicion that it is a commercial map, I have removed the attachment until it is cleared. I have no intention to share any copyrighted and commercial material as per the forum rules and common sense. If I can make sure it is not commercial, I will put it up again for everyone.
Thank you.

If it's too difficult to work out the launch control directly in your programming, the Tach Recall Shift Lightand Launch Control Interfacefrom Gizzmo Electronics is a fairly reasonable alternative.

This one is an ecutek rom file... this is not a launch control as already discussed.

How can I know if its ecoutech, I have only tested it myself, and the car has a stationary launch control feature that builds up about 0.7- 08 Bar boost when stationary at about 5500 RPM.
If its really a commercial map, I am going to delete it for any copyright reasons. Could you tell me how I would know if its OEM or ecoutech??

That's it, only a stationary rev limiter. A4RNxxxx is an ecutek ID for sure ;)

OK, I have removed it.

If it's not stationary, what type of launch control are we talking about?
As far as I know, you do some type of ignition "skip" so as not to exceed a certain RPM while keeping your foot on the gas, and the extra unburned fuel also finds its way to the turbo to create an after explosion that further spools it up right? I've seen Group N turbos wrecked with ALS and launch control in only one race weekend, but a smooth launch control as in ecutek maps would be OK afterall..
