Id like to try it, have the cable and a 2006 sti what else do I need? Do I have to edit the rom for my inmobilizer or something?

Not for an '06 no, everything is ready to go on the maps located on the site.

I've loaded this map but sense I'm a n00b I've yet to figure out how to view the log files. Once I figure this out I'll post up what I think.
