Do you know if this will be ok to flash straight on and if there is any benefit in doing so ?

I did a quick compare with my rom and there isn't much difference in terms of data but quite a lot in terms of offsets.

Similar story with the 2003 JDM STI rom too. I haven't tried that rom on my ecu, I would be happier knowing a later image would work ok before attempting to flash it.

to be honest i'm not sure.. i just started reading a couple days ago and just recievced my openport yesterday.. as far as i can tell you have the AF481 hardware revision and original maps/rom..which was the second last in the version7 sti model.. my rom is the most recent hardware revison and rom, so i THINK that you can go ahead and flash this to your AF481 but again i am very far from certain or and expert.. i'm working on in tho.. can u explain what u mean by different in terms of offset? thanks!
