Hi All,

I have just puchased a nice MY02 Outback H6 3.0 vdc.

I can read the rom, but cannot edit. I have tried substituting the models "close" to it in the actual ROM by hex editing, but the locations of the maps must be way off because it looks all hosed up (AFRs like 2.0 to 20 at random places, etc).

The ID is D6HE100B. I have attached the ROM.

Even just the afr ratio table would be great! It is just begging to be tuned.

This is not a 'normal' Subaru ROM, from my experience. I tried too but couldn't work it out in time. Sorry- I can't help on this one.
My next best suggestion (which may actually be a really bad one) is to find a ROM for a similar vehicle that is supported, and see how it goes. You may end up with a bricked ECU or a broken engine however, so do so at your own risk.

i have an ADM 01 Outback that i am trying to reverse as well.
i have found 2 fuel tables and 5 timing tables. and heaps of others with unknown intent.
I had a quick look at your ROM and found the same table at a slightly different offset.

i have trialed with sucess flashing mine with fuel and timing, so yours should work as well.
no idea on the load and how its calc'd as its SD, so i just leave it as g/rev as a reference.
i just have to figure out how to save the new def i create in ecuFlash.
then i can post the xml file and you can play.

Definition file built in ecuFlash for your EDM Outback. Values are the same as my ADM outback.
Not sure exactly how the timing is working with the different tables.
For fuel i just changed the A and B tables to be the same. Works well.
I am running fuel around 12.8 and a little extra timing for our 98octane.

Does anyone else want to double check that what i have done is correct??

@vaccine: thanks for posting that! It's really helpful. I'm not sure how those ROMs are structured, looks a bit odd to me.

i didnt define the other 9 table i found , as i have no idea what they are.
couple look really funky. like an SD table or somthing else maybe.
i have them defined in the defs for my ADM outback, same on the EDM, will post tonight.

Any updates or progress on this definition?

i sold the outback and built a gc8 track car.
i think elevenpoint7five was going to be looking into the ROM when time permitted.
