ignition correction table

has any one ever entered 0s across the entire table so that the cars highest timing is only that which is in the ignition base map?
it seems to me the car would still be able to pull timing via knock sensor and iam and it would make the ignition map much more costent/safer rather than allways looking at the knock sensor for the tottal timing.
thanks in advance

i'm sorry that was a bad description.
i would like to have my subi ignition maps work similar to the evo in the fact that the ecu will look at the knock sencor to pull timing but not to add it. i understand this works well for good power when one doesnt have a dyno to use but if you have a dyno i would rather set up timing as a base map and only have the knock sencor pull timing rather decide if it wants to add more.
mabey i could get the best of both worlds by tuning the car with 0s in the higher load areas of the ignition corection table to get peak torque then add like 1 or 2* of timing to the higher loads so at most the ecu will only add that rather than the 8 or so i see in the stock map i uploaded from a 04.
or mabey i have this completely wrong can the subi ecu pull more timing than what is in the base map or is the base map the loest igniton timing can be?
